Lights On Afterschool

5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
This October, more than 7,500 communities and 1 million Americans will celebrate Lights On Afterschool,
a nationwide event organized by the Afterschool Alliance to rally
support for afterschool programs. Community organizations and programs
are invited to hold their own celebration, or participate in a local
event, and help call attention to the benefits of afterschool programs.
Afterschool programs keep kids safe, help working families and inspire
learning. In the U.S. today, 15.1 million children go home alone after
school.
